The Republic of Namibia is situated in the Southwest point of Africa, on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean, bordered by South Africa in the South, Angola and Zambia in the North, and Botswana and Zimbabwe in the East. The oldest desert in the world, the Namib Desert, stretches along the whole West coast of the country, while the Kalahari Desert runs along its South-eastern border with Botswana.

"Ongoro" is situated in the Central Highlands of Namibia, approximately 25km from its capital Windhoek. We are surrounded by several big farms, where we can do horseback riding through the beautiful green Savannah with her overwhelming abundance of flora and natural pools throughout most of the year, surrounded by a flourishing stock of game!

More then 20.000 hectares with wide river beds which are largely dry throughout the year. We can therefore offer you natural tracks for horseback riding. Amongst the wealth of game, which also includes leopards, it is possible to see kudus, oryx, steenbok, hartebeests and warthogs. There are also plenty of small and big bird species to watch.

With it fascinating historical facts, leading from the first European settlements in 1840 to its eventual independence in 1989, Namibia offers you a dynamic experience of tradition, culture and wildlife.
